GIS Officer
- Full Time, permanent, Canberra based position
We are currently seeking GIS Officers to join our Canberra office full-time. FrOG Tech is an Australian-based natural resources consultancy that provides geological, geophysical and data management services for a range of clients in the petroleum, groundwater, geothermal, CCS, coal, coal seam gas and mineral sectors.
This is a starter position, working within a larger GIS team, so we are looking for someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, who enjoys a challenge. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to be trained as GIS Specialists independently managing both internal and external projects. The successful applicant should have an interest in earth science, geography or a related discipline.
The successful candidate will have:
- a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- formal qualifications or significant experience in GIS/Spatial Science
- experience working with ArcGIS and/or other GIS software
- an understanding of coordinate systems, vector and raster data formats
- excellent problem solving skills
- the ability to work well within a team and as an individual
- good attention to detail and organizational skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
